The Bärenhaus ("House of bears") is a in 2001 newly built guesthouse in a for this region typical chalet-like architecture style, with lots of wood and natural stones. It is situated in a quiet and sunny district of San Martin de los Andes, with a lovely panoramic view over the valley Vega Maipú to the Andes cordillere – a domicile in harmony with nature.

We, Verónica and Martin, are a german-argentine couple and are looking forward to receive you in our house. For a pleasant stay and the well- being of our guests we personally care for, we want that you will feel like "at home" in the Bärenhaus.

We both speak english, spanish, german and are recommended by international travel books and –agencies.

Our Bärenhaus offers 6 nice and comfortable guest rooms with european standard, each with private bathroom/ shower, heating and view over the valley to the mountains. The small number of rooms still allows a familiar atmosphere. It is our pleasure to help you organize trips in the area, or if one wishes, arrange excursions for our guests. Breakfast is served in the cosy breakfast room, equipped with an old wood oven or on the balcony with a fantastic view.

After a day full of new experiences you can try our home-brewed beer or a typical argentinean mate on the sun terrace and at night in a relaxed atmosphere one can sit around the open chimney in our beautiful rustical furnished living room.
